Tap is another form of dance that has it’s roots in American history.  It is another form of dance to find itself through African slaves and also Irish Immigrants that lived in the United States.  Like the other styles, Tap dance has many different forms and can go from the showy style of a Rockette to the rhythmic style of Savion Glover.  Because of the nature of the tap shoe, tap is rhythmically based and the sounds are extremely important.
